Graduation-card

My Goodness, I do apologize for not having posted - AGAIN! Oh well...

Anyway, this is a card that I made today, for my niece's graduation-party tomorrow. I bought her a very nice gift and this card is quite complementary to it. I don't think she reads my blog, but just in case she actually does, I won't tell you what the present is..!

The colours - expecially the pink butterfly - is not as bright in real life as in the picture. Somehow the scanner picked it up like this. And the pink butterfly is actually a die and IRL the wings are pulled up a little to make it 3D. And the stamp is from Panduro.

Santa Christmas-card

I am so very sorry that I don't post more regularly! Anyway, here is another Christmas-card, those are really the most common cards I make. This card is for a challenge with Merry Monday Christmas Challenge, where the task was to use a Santa!

Have a great day! I hope to be back a little sooner next time!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

Wow, this blog has certainly come back to life - two cards in as many days! This is a card I made for the challenge in the Christmas challenge blog "Jingle Bells", with the challenge Let it snow. I am very happy with how it turned out!

Christmascard challenge!

Very late (I think today is the last day), I made a Christmas-card for the challenge of the Swedish blog "Ett julkort i veckan", which is a challenge blog to make one Christmas-card per week from a given sketch. And this is what I came up with!

The cold I told you about last time (almost a month ago) was not a cold - it turned out to be an aggressive form of pneumonia, one that takes very slow to heal. As a matter of fact, I still have a slight fever and of course, also a bad cough. Oh well, hopefully I will get better very soon!

Kortskissens 300:e skiss!

Time to bring this blog back to life! Hopefully I will be able to update now and then.

This is my take on Kortskissens 300:e skiss. Don't you just love the colours?! Most part of the card I made at this weekend's big event "Stockholm Scrap- and Pearl Event". I had a great time there, unfortunately though I came down with a cold as well, so it's not been as good as I had hoped. Oh well, I believe I will survive this cold!

Layouts

Yesterday I was visiting a friend (a fabulous crafter and the maker of this blog. We had a wonderful day with crafting and talking. Sollan, I love you! :)

So these 2 layouts I came up with. First, a layout of one of my cats, named Felix. When he was a kitten, he found a shoebox in my craftroom, that he liked to lay in. As he grew bigger, the box became increasingly tighter for him, until it broke altoghether. However, he never seemed to get the connection of himself growing bigger, he probably thought I made the box smaller...

The next layout is a photo from our Christmas-celebrations in the 80:s. Weird, you think?! Well, there's a story to it, of course: My uncle had put 2 enormous, heavy parcels under the Christmas-tree, destined to myself and my sister. We were very curious and intrigued to as what it would be inside. And it turned out that he had put in some pice of wood and then a bag of potatoe-chips in each of them... He's very funny, my uncle...

And here she is! At this very moment she is excited about a ribbon that was the exact right colour, hence the funny looking expression... And hmmm, don't look at the almost empty candy-bowl. We did NOT eat it all - her family took more than half! ;)

And tomorrow it's time to get back to work again, after having one week off... Feels strange!

A little late for Halloween, but here's a Vintage Halloween deco that I made for a group-swap today. :)

Cat-scrapping!

I have made a few layouts lately! Two of them are of my lovely cats. This first one is of Sixten and his sister Signe. They were always so cuddly and cute with each other. Then one day, Signe was hit by a car and we had to decide to take her away. It was such a hard decision!

About two years after Signe was taken away from us, we decided to get another cat to keep Sixten company. We found this little fellow, his name was Felix and this is his first Christmas. He was so happy to lie under the Christmas-tree with all the Christmas-gifts! Then two years ago, he just disappeared. We think he must have been hit by a car or something like that. It's sad, though... Now we only have Sixten left and I think we will keep it that way, He and Felix never got along very well anyway...

Another card

Another card I made the other day! The cat is coloured in with watercolour-pencils and I also put on some stickles on the bow on the cat's head.

Still alive!

Hey you all - if I have any readers left, that is... I haven't stopped crafting, just hadn't had the energy to blog. I've changed jobs and I really like the new job a lot, but it has also taken a lot of energy.

So, here is some of the decos I have made since April! A lot of vintage, guess you can tell it's my favourite theme, right?!

Vintage ballerina
Vintage bathing beauty
Vintage pinups

Trolls & Goblins

And you know what? I still have another week of vacation - I'm actually hoping for a little bad weather so I get to craft without feeling guilty! ;) Because if the weather is fine, you should really be outside and enjoy it and summer, right?!

Card for Markus

I've had a guy doing his internship at my job the past few months, with me as his mentor. He's sooooo good and he will be an absolutely great social-worker. He will end his internship at the very same day as my last day at this job, next Friday April 27. I made him this card and hope he will like it. He's very into nature, so hopefully it's not too girlish for him with flowers... The sentiment "Lycka till" means "Good luck".

Christmas-card challenge

I'm participating in a challenge at Ett julkort i veckan (a Swedish Christmas-card challenge blog). This week the challenge is to use buttons on the card. This is what I came up with!

Birthday-card

This is a birthday-card I made for my dear friend Åsa, she turned 40 (or was it 25?). She loves everything to do with Hello Kitty, so of course I had to use that on the card! And she also creates lovely earrings, necklaces and such, so of course I had to use some bling for the card as well! :)

What else? I have been offered a new job! It's about the same as I do now, but it will be closer and better paid. Let's just hope I will like it there! I will start my new job in the beginning of May!

Cutest cat!

Isn't this cat the cutest? As you might already know, I am a HUGE fan of cats. They are independent and have oh so much personality! I just love them, and especially my own Sixten, a male Norwegian Forest cat! He's not the one in the picture, though...

Anyway, this is a deco by the theme "Animals in winter" that I made for a group-swap.

Scrap-day

London 2005

Precious Mom

Last week I had a day off from work and I spent it with my very dear friend Sollan. I don't scrapbook very often, but I do have a small album in the size of 6x6" and since Sollan is a great scrapper and a huge inspiration, I thought I would do some LOs while I was there. Here above are 2 of the LOs that I made during that day. I had great fun, and I will try to scrapbook more often! Theank you Sollan for the inspiration, input and also the embellishments you let me steal from you! ;)

The one at the top is showing pics of when M and I were in London in November 2005. The other one is a tribute to my mom, she is the best mom ever!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year, everybody! I hope you will have a great, crafty new year!

Here are some of my latest work. The one at the top is a deco, themed "Snowmen" (obviously, LOL), made for a group-swap. I must say that I am quite happy with the way it turned out . Note that the lovely stamp was made by my dear friend Maria! Isn't it gorgeous? I coloured it with my watercolour-pencils.

The next is a Christmas-card! Yes, Christmas is over and done with for this time, but it's never to late to begin making Christmas-cards for the next year, right?! The text on the paper "God Jul 24:12" means Merry Christmas December 24 - because here in Sweden we do ur main celebrating at Christmas Eve!

The last one is a birthday-card (probably). I did not have anybody in particular in mind when I did it, it just came to me... Both this card and the Christmas-card was coloured in with my Promarkers.

Retirement-card and Christmas-cards

My former boss Margaretha retired last Friday. Of course I had to make her a card! She is a non-fuss woman who is always dressed in black, so this is what I came up with. It was really fun to give it to her because she was so very emotional. She hugged me and stroke my cheek - so not her usual self!

These 2 Christmas-cards above is what I made recently. I guess it's about time to send the Christmas-cards out soon! Especially those that will go overseas!

Birthdays

A couple of weeks ago both my darling and his mom had their birthdays (at the same day). Of course I had to make them birthday-cards! The top one is for my sweetheart - "Puss" is Swedish for "Kiss" - and the other one is for my Mother In  Law. She loves cats, so of course I had to make a cat-card for her!

Halloween cat and Christmas-card

Halloween is coming up! I have participated in a group-swap in EuropeArtDecos @ Yahoo - a deco with the theme "Halloween cats". Isn't the kitty I chose cute - and scary?!

I am continuing producing Christmas-cards. I will sell some at work and also need some for myself. This one is in untraditional colours - I was thinking of the pink symbolizing the Pink month of breast-cancer awareness when I made it. And I also made it for the challenge at Althea's Mix, which was to create a Christmas-card of your own choice.

Vintage ballerina and won the challenge at Skapa Hobby!

New deco: Vintage ballerina - isn't she pretty?! I used black cardstock from Bazill as the base, then a pink paper with black print (some of the images are embossed). I am sorry, but I don't know the brand of the paper. I stamped a swirl from Panduro in the left corner and embossed it with a hologram-powder. Turned out pretty nice!

I am also extremely happy to tell you that I actually WON the challenge at Skapa Hobby for which I made the card in the previous post! I am waiting to receive the prize and can't wait to find out what it is! :)
