Another one

Another Christmas-card! This is one of those that I sold, and I like it! I have had good use of that edge-punch from Fiskars, I really like the look it gives.

Tomorrow it's Christmas-eve, and that is the main Christmas-day here in Sweden. For some reason THAT is the day, as opposed to the rest of the world (well, almost all the world). So, today I am off work and have lots and lots to do at home - so why am I placed in front of the computer??

Christmas coming up

Christmas is just around the corner and I have been sooo busy lately! So this time I will show you a few of this year's Christmas-cards. For the first one, I used untraditional colours and I am quite satisfied with it! The text is embossed with glittery black and it's Swedish for "Warm Christmas hugs".

The next card I made in purple, also pretty untraditional. I wasn't as satisfied with this one as the one above, but this one was actually sold when I brought my cards with me to work. Somebody liked this best of all!

This card is one of my absolute favourites, and this one was sold very quickly. I love the colours and I especially love the little glass-tree hanging down from the twine.

I also want to share with you that there is a fabulous blogcandy here! Can you believe all the goodies?!

Craft-meeting

Today I met 3 friends for a craft-meeting! We started the whole thing by going to a crafts-fair, and I did quite some shopping, I have to admit! Then we went to Frida's place and crafted - I made 5 Christmas-cards and the one above is the first one I made today... Thanks girls (and especially our hostess Frida), I had a blast!

Sorry!

Please forgive me my absence! Things have been very hectic at work and I'm kind of beat when I get home in the evenings. Now things are lightning up and I hope to be able to be more present soon, and to have more energy to do more crafting!

However, this is one of my newest decos, the theme is "First kiss", isn't the picture sweet?

Christmas-card!

I am home with a slight fever, but I did manage to craft a little bit yesterday. I figured it's time to get some of the Christmas-cards ready, and this is what I came up with. I am pretty happy with the result. I stamped a Christmas-tree purely in green, cut it out and mounted it on a small square of green card-stock (that I actually cut ouyt with a nestability, if you look closely you can tell it's not quite even on the edges. It's supposed to look like that!). Then I glued some red bling-stones on it to look like Christmas-ornaments. Pretty!

The fever is on its way to leave, thank goodness. Yesterday I was beginning to think I would be stuck with it for a looooong time, but today I have a little more energy.

Where do you get your inspiration?

One thing that's been on my mind lately is where we get our inspiration from? Obviosly, it's different for everybody. Where do YOU get your inspiration? Is it from other peoples work, or nature? Or colour-palets? For me, using sketches is crucial. I have a little sketch-book that I made myself. In there I have drawn sketches that I found on various blogs, sketch-challenges etc. I just cannot do without it! If I forget it at home when I go to craft-gatherings, I am completely lost! LOL! It's not that I use the sketches straight off, sometimes I do, but other times there's something with the sketch that just makes me take off. Like this deco above, it doesn't look much like the sketch I had when I started.

So, my question for you: where do you get your inpiration?

Frogs

Aren't this pic of the frogs CUTE?! And funny?! I just can't stop smiling when I see it... I just had to use it for a "Frog" deco that I made not long ago.

I haven't been crafting much lately, I'm sorry to say. I would want to, but have been working pretty much and also have had other things to attend to... Hopefully things will lighten up soon!

Sweden!

This is a deco with "Sweden"-theme. It's really summery and really Swedish. And I like it a lot! Summer is now approaching, and I cannot wait for the weather to improve! These past few days have been really rainy, but tomorrow it's supposed to be good. I hope so! :)

Card

Here's a card I made for a dear colleague who changed jobs and stopped working at my job. I hope she liked the card, it's a little different from other cards that I made, but I like it! The "stem" of the flowers I made with yarn that I tied ribbons around, so they became little leaves. And the "Lycka till" (= Good luck) I embossed.

Other than that, I've been home with a sick child today, he has a little fever. Nothing much, just enough to stay home from school. Another thing thatis sick also is my car, I left it at the car-workshop this morning, will hopefully get it back tomorrow afternoon.

Layout!

It's not often that I do layouts for my scrapbook-album, but here's one that I made tonight! It's a picture of the first time my mom met her new grandson, that is, my son Gustav... I really like the picture, there is so much love!

My birthyear

This time I wanted to show you a pic of a deco with the theme "My birthyear". And since I was born 1969 - of course I had to make it with a pic of the very first moon-landing! I was pretty happy with the way it turned out, even though it didn't match the image I had in my mind before I started! But well, that is often the case I think, when you're crafting! The items get a life of their own... ;)

Long time no see...

My gosh, I've been really absent lately! I'm sorry everybody, to have kept you waiting for this update! That is, if there still is anybody reading my blog...

I have been really busy these past few months and the winter has been long, dark, snowy (lots and lots and lots of snow this year) and hard. And I have been pretty much out of energy and not really had the desire to be creative. Well, spring is here soon, even though the temperature is still below 0 (freezing temperature).

The deco is themed "Famous Lovestories" and I chose Tristan and Isolde for the cover. I kind of like the way it turned out!

Christmas is over...

... and a new year has come! Still, I'm posting a pic of the latest Decosquare I have made for a group-swap - a Vintage Christmas Decosquare! The colours aren't that "Christmassy" and the pic would be fine any year, so... I hope you will think it's OK anyway! :)
