Cowboy

This is a Cowboy-deco I made for a group-swap. I kept feeling that something was missing on it,
that is was too bare... But eventually it had to do anyway, I couldn't really put flowers or other girlie stuff there, could I?! And really, I am pretty happy with it nevertheless!

Elephant

Wow, more than a month since I last posted here! I'm so sorry for being absent, I've had lots to do, both at work and privately. Hopefully things will slow down a little now!

This pic above is an Elephant decosquare I made for a group-swap. I really like the colours in the square, they harmonize very well! And harmony is very important to me! ;)

Today it's Mats' birthday, so I'm off for some cake now!

Black Cat Decosquare

This is a decosquare I made for a groupswap. The cat is from a clearstamp-set I bought from a friend. And I cannot remember who made it, but I just love the set! The tail is made of furry black yarn that I sewed onto the square. The black round things on the side are brads that are covered with black fabric. Finally I put a needle through the paper and made it look like a frame. I was pretty happy with how it turned out, and the receiver liked it as well, thank goodness!

Well, vacation is long gone now. I've been working for 3 weeks again and it feels good. Hectic though, I still try to figure out how on earth I will make the time to slow down so I will have time for crafts, reading books and do all the things I want to do!

Gothenburg

This is a babygirl-decosquare that I made for a friend that just had a little baby-girl. Since I know she loves vintage, this is what I came up with. I'm pretty happy with it!

I'm still on vacation, and we have spent a couple of days in Gothenburg, visiting the wonderful amusement-park Liseberg and stayed at a very nice hotel. They also have trams in Gothenburg, so we spent some time on them too, that is fun for red-necks like us! ;)

Michael Jackson tribute in Stockholm

I just saw this one and wanted to share. It really touched my heart. I know I am a couple of weeks late, but... Go and have a look!

Tribute to Michael Jackson

For my mom

This is a card I made for my mom's birthday. I am pretty happy with how it turned out, very summerish and nice. And the most important of all: my mom liked it!

Now I have only one more week to work, then it's VACATION! I just can't wait for it. This year's vacation is a little on the late side for me, I can tell. Next year I will try to get it earlier. I am really tired now and try to do as little as possible when I am home, just so I can keep it together and not crash again. But I will be fine, no worries! Just one more week and then I will be free for 4 weeks!

No vacation in sight...

A card I made for my niece Julia who turned 12 the other day. Just like the rest of us, she's very into cats, so I thought making her a card with a cat would be a good idea. I think it turned out pretty cute!

At the moment I am feeling pretty sorry for myself. I have 3 whole weeks to go before I start my summer-vacation! Yeah, I chose it myself but now I wonder how stupid I can get! Three more weeks is a LOT! I want it now! *sigh*

Oh yes! I have a car!

decFirst of all: I have a car now! I even got it delivered by Monday night, very nice! It's a small red Ford Fiesta, from 1996. Not fancy at all - it hasn't got Central locking, electric window elevators, AC or anything - but then again - there aren't as many things to break down either! I am very happy with my little car!

The deco above is a "Laurel & Hardy" deco and I am quite pleased with how it turned out. The "mat" I used for the picture is much, much more sparkly IRL, it gives it a nice touch!

Health

This piece above is an "Africa" deco. I thought it was fun to make it green, most decos with this theme are brown or beige. But I know there are some places in Africa that are green as well, so... here it is! The picture is from the internet, I googled "African beauty" and there she was! And she is really beautiful, don't you think?

I know I have been quiet for a while. The reason is that I haven't been feeling too well. A little more than a month ago, my car broke down and without it, it takes soooo much longer to get to work, because I have to rely completely on public transportations. And considering I was sick for 5 years and have been back to work now only 2 months... Well, it's taken a huge toll on my health, I can tell. Last Thursday evening, I came down with a huge anxiety-attack and couldn't do anything but lie flat on my back until Friday at noon. I tell ya, it was NO FUN calling work and tell them that I couldn't get out of bed because I had an anxiety-attack!

Well, now we are car-hunting and hopefully I will have a "new" car by Tuesday night, and then life will be much easier. I'll let you know!

Vintage girl

This deco, called "Vintage girl" is made for a groupswap in a friend's group, and they chose it for the front-page this month! I am so honoured and happy about that! I am pretty happy with how it turned out as well!

Tomorrow I will go to Norway and visit my dear friend Marthe, it will be a blast! We will be crafting around the clock until Sunday, when I have to leave again. I am so lucky to have my man Mats, who will give me a lift up there. I had planned to drive my own car, but it broke down last week and we will either have to repair it, or sell it and buy a new one. And it will cost a small fortune either way. And we can by no means get it fixed 'til tomorrow, so Mats with his big heart offered to take me there... Did I tell you that I love him oh so much?

Rubberstamped Flowers

This deco above is a very simple one - it's called "Rubberstamped Flowers", that I made for my Swedish deco/ATC group, SvenskaDecos. I just didn't know what else to make with it, since the rubberstamp itself is pretty large. I coloured it in with Promarkers. punched a couple of holes and tied a ribbon over the stems and - voilà! I am pretty happy with it anyway, sometimes less is more...

Today I am home from work, still sick from that stomach-flu that hit me during the weekend, but at least today I am feeling much better. I think I will be able to go to work tomorrow without being contageous as well! I think the worst thing about having this sickness is that you get so darn weak! It really is annoying! But, like I said - I am feeling way better now!

Wow, great blog-candy!

I just came across this page... That is some blog-candy she has there! I just had to join the lottery. Unfortunately last day is today, but if you're lucky you still have time to join as well!

Cat-card

This is a card I made for my friend Annica's 40th birthday. She likes cats, so I thought this stamp would be appropriate...

Other than that, I am home from work today, since Gustav has stomach-flu. Not nice! I just hope I will escape it! The nice thing about this, is that I have more time to craft! Yihaa!!

Oh, Spacegirl challenged me to reply to these questions:
  1. What kind of food do you eat a lot? Well, if I cook the food, I like when it's simple and fast. Pasta is good, but I also often make home-made fries with fried salmon. Yummie!
  2. When you are the guest of a party, do you help out with cleaning or do you stay seated? Actually, I often help with the cleaning, I like to be busy...
  3. Where do you prefere to be when you're blogging? At home, by the computer. It IS a laptop, but I prefer to have it in one place...
  4. Do you often buy lotteries? Nah... If I ocassionally buy them, I never win...
  5. In what city or country did you have the best vacation? France...
  6. What TV-channel is your favourite? TV4, I think...

Happy Easter... or was it X-mas?

Happy Easter everybody! To celebrate it I made a... Christmas-card!! Yes, I am a little nuts, but there is a good reason for making a Christmas-card now! I signed up to do 2 Christmascards per week all year round, in the Swedish challenge blog "Jul Hela Året". I haven't been a good girl for a long time (haven't made the cards that I should have), but here is one! A little un-orthodox with a lot of PINK... But I think it turned out pretty nice - simple, but nice!

So much to do... so little time!

Now that I've started working, I find that I have so much less time for crafting and all other stuff! Not a big surprise, but I still miss it! So, I haven't got much to show you. This deco above is a "Vintage Moviestars From My Country"-deco. I chose Ingrid Bergman, she had such classic beauty, and who hasn't seen "Casablanca"? I made the deco for a group-swap and sent it to Germany...

Today I received an award from my dear friend Sussi! Thanks soooo much, my dear! Now I am supposed to choose 10 of my own favourite blogs, but really - I have a hard time choosing! There are so many of you out there, so I hope to be forgiven if I don't pick out any?!

Employment-day 1!

Another ballet-deco! I just love that theme, can you tell?

Today was the first day of REAL work for me - with a real employment! The whole office had an education-day though, so I don't feel like I've done something really. Hopefully I will be able to take some of that knowledge and apply to work. I am really looking forward to be able to work now!

I've got a job!

OMG, almost a whole month since I last updated my blog! I am so sorry, everybody!

I have good news to tell you, though. Some of you know that I have been on sick-leave for 5 years now, due to a burnout-depression. Now I have been work-training since September 2008 and it goes really well. I am an educated Social-worker and it's not the easiest field of work, but I am happy to say it has been great. And now I have been offered a temporary job at the very same office where I have been work-training (which is also my old job). I am sooo happy for that! I am back!! The employment will start April 1st, and until then I will continue work-training 75% of fulltime.

The deco up above is a "Ballet"-deco that I made for a swap, and sent to France!

Some new decos

These are some of my latest decos. I need to make a couple of cards to send today also, so hopefully I will be able to show them here very soon!
This past week I have been literally down and out with the flu... Some days I have been well enough to sit up a little and do some crafting, but mostly I've been staggering between the bed and the sofa, just lying down and feeling bad. Thank Goodness that is all behind me now! I was so nervous that I wouldn't be able to go to Stockholm to visit my friends at Skapa Hobby tomorrow, as planned. Which would have been extra bad, since the train-ticket was already paid for and not possible to change... But I feel much, much better now, so I will be a ble to go! Yuhooo! Stockholm, watch out!

Christmas-cards!

I have made 2 Christmas-cards lately! Yes, you read it right... Christmas-cards in February... Do you think I've finally lost it? Haha, I cannot blame you! Here's the explanation: I took upon a challenge to make 2 Christmas-cards per week this year! It's the Swedish challenge-blog "Jul Hela Året" that put me up to it... That way I have about 100 Christmas-cards by next Christmas. Enough to send AND to sell. Great idea, isn't it? This way I son't have to get all worked up about the Christmas-cards in December...

These are the latest cards I've made. Pretty simple in style, but they just came out this way. I always intend to make them more fancy, but they seem to live their own lives. So, this is how they turned out...

Awards!

Wow, I've got awards from 2 of my friends! Thanks so much, ladies! It really warms my heart!
This first one was given to me by Hanna and Åsa! And this second one was given to me by Nina!

The rules for both of these awards is that I should pay them forward to blogs that I like. Well, I have to admit that I have a HUGE blog-roll and I am pretty sure you know who you are, since I often leave comments. So, I want to give the both to all of you! Please feel free to take them off my blog and pay them forward!

Bookmark-deco

Now, it's been a while since I last posted here. It's not that I haven't been crafting, it's just not something I wanted to put on display...
But today I created a "Bookmark"-deco for a group-swap in Yahoo. The thing about this is that when I send it to my "partner" in this swap, she will decorate one of the tags and turn it into a bookmark. She will then put it back in the pocket, send it further on and this repeats until all the tags are decorated. Then it's supposed to be returned home to me and I will have 6 new, handmade bookmarks! Isn't that a great thought! I just hopehopehope it won't get stuck somewhere!
