Christmas is over...

Christmas is over for this year, but I still have some Christmas-cards to show you. These will be the last ones though, I promise!
Christmas has been calm and quiet this year. On Christmas Eve Gustav was at his dad's place, so there were only myself, Mats and his mom here then. And the cats, of course! Gustav came yesterday eventing, and today we have been out shopping at the sales. A top for me and a couple of computer-games for Gustav. We're all happy!

Christening-card

These days I mostly make Christmas-cards, but yesterday we went to my niece's christening, and of course I had to make her a card as well! This is what I came up with, and I must say I am pretty satisfied with how it turned out! I didn't want to make the ordinary pink, girlie card, so I made this green, red and gold one.

Other than that, I must confess that I am a little tired now. LOTS to do at home before Christmas and I am also work-training. It's pretty stressful, but I try to keep it out and just take it as easy as possible. One step at the time, trying not to get too stressed...

Christmas-card and job-application

Here's another Christmas-card! I still have lots to make, don't know why I didn't make them sooner as I said I would...
This picture doesn't do the card justice - really! The white back-ground paper is all glittery IRL, so it makes you think of snow and winter... You just have to use your imagination!
A good and fun thing now: I've applied for a job! I'm still work-training and it's going really well, but the travels back and forth are killing me! The travels add another 3 hours per day! So if I hadn't have to travel as far, I would be able to do more hours, I'm sure! So now I've applied for a REAL job with salary! And the work-place is so much closer to home... Don't know if the'll even consider me since I've been on sick-leave for so long, but... It's worth a try! I'll keep you updated!

Vintage Christmas and Inkido blog-candy

I'm sorry for the bad quality of the pic above. My scanner gave up on me just now - hopefully it can be fixed, but now I had to take a photo of the decosquare I wanted to show you, and the light-conditions aren't that great at the moment. Well, you get the idea anyway! It is a Vintage Christmas decosquare I made for a friend in one of my groups. It's a pretty simple design, but I didn't want any fuss to take away attention from the picture, which I think is beautiful.
By the way, one of my favourite companies here in Sweden - "Inkido" is having a blogcandy-giveaway on their blog! Go and see if you can win also!

Stamp- and scrap convent in Västerås

Here's a picture from the Stamp- and Scrap convent I attended last Saturday! There were LOTS and LOTS of people who sat down to just craft! I think we must have been over a hundred persons there... There were both cardmakers and scrappers. I had such a blast!

Here's one of the cards I made. The stamp is from the welcoming goodie-bag that all of us got, since we paid to be there. I don't think it had been my first choice if I could choose myself, but I kind of like it. It's funny! Obviously, this is a Christmas-card!

And here's another Christmas-card I made for one of the challenges during the day. It should be a Christmas-card in Blue and silver. I didn't win, but I'm pretty happy with it anyway. Can you see the trail that leads up to the bowl of porridge?

Thank-you card

A special-ordered card for my friend Caroline at work. Her daughter just received her drivers-licence and Caroline wanted to thank the person who taught her to drive. So I made a thank-you card with a Bella-car stamp! And guess what? She was so pleased with the card and showed it to "everybody" at work, and they thought I should make a few and put in a box in the lunch-room, for sale! That's flattering! I guess I will give it a try, and make some... :o)

Crafty Individuals

This is a deco I made with a Japan-theme for my group LovelyDecos. The rubberstamp is from Crafty Individuals - I just LOVE their stamps!
There is also a contest in one of my favourite webshops here in Sweden - "Hobby & Hantverk", where you should show your work with a stamp from Crafty Individuals. Then you get a chance to win a new stamp from CI! I can't miss that opportunity, can I?!

Wedding-card and Vintage Halloween

Today I have a couple of new things to show you! First a wedding-card! I didn't know I was going to make one at first, but the stamp just yelled that it should be there. And who am I to argue with that..?
The next thing is a Vintage Halloween deco that I made for my international yahoo-group LovelyDecos. It's going to a friend here in Sweden tomorrow, in the mail. I'm pretty happy with it - especially the little bat in the right corner!

White lamb

This time I wanted to show a "White animals" deco that I made for my Swedish group, SvenskaDecos. Isn't it cute?
Not much has happened here since I last posted. The bad cold is gone so everything is back to normal again. Work-training is going fine, I really enjoy being back in the game again, even thought I will have less time for crafting. But on the other hand I will eventually get more money to spend on craft-supplies! Yay! Not yet though - first I have to prove to myself and others that I am ready to work...
Oh, I almost forgot - I have been tagged by my dear friend Diane in Canada! I am asked to list 7 random things about myself... So here goes:
1) I used to be a vegetarian, from the age 8-19. Then I moved away from home, got lazy and became a regular meat-eater...
2) Professionally I am a social-worker.
3) I did my internship in Pennsylvania, USA.
4) I love to sing! I sing in the church-choir and also take on solo-performances for weddings, funerals and such.
5) My lucky number is 8.
6) I have been into stamping and decoing for about 1½ years now, and I am totally addicted.
7) I run two yahoo-groups - LovelyDecos and SvenskaDecos. They are about swapping decos, ATCs and decosquares.
Now I should pass this on to 7 people... It is very hard to choose, but I ask these 7:
I would be thrilled if you wanted to play, but if not - that's fine too!

2 cards

I have made 2 cards recently - among all other things I've made, like decos, ATCs and decosquares! This one above is a gift-voucher that I made for my mom, who wanted to give away a massage... The angel-stamp is designed by my dear friend Maria, isn't it beautiful?! I think the stamp-company is RePrint. I can't remember where I got the paper - is it Tilda design? Anyway, the ribbon I got from my monthly package from Sykompaniet/Apidae, the Punchinella from Hobby & Hantverk, the flower from Magdas Scrapbooking, the button from Timarii and the letter-stickers are from Panduro. What a mix, eh?

The second card is the first Christmas-card of the year!! Both the back-groupd paper and the picture are from Crafty Individuals, they are soooo beautiful! The ribbon and the triangle-paper are both bought at Timarii.
The work-training is going fine, but I have come down with this terrible cold, so I had to stay at home yesterday instead of going to work. My nose is rinning besides being completely stuffed, I have a bad cough and I sneeze a lot. I hope it will pass soooooon, this is so tiring!

Work-training again!

Yesterday I started working again! Well, it's actually work-training, but it can lead to work in the long run. It's at my old job and it feels sooooo good to be back! I've really missed my colleagues and the daily chit-chat! To begin with, I will only work 10 hours a week and it will be Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, from 10-14 (with a little break for lunch in the middle). And later on I will increase the hours and take upon more responsibility etc. And eventually, I might work there for REAL again!

OK, the card above is one I made for a friend who had her birthday earlier this month. I was really happy with the card. The heart was made by using my new coluzzle - that I bought from a sale I bumped into in France! Hope you liked the card as well!

The winner is...

To get the winner of the blogcandy, I simply went to Random.org and let it choose for me! And the winner for the blogcandy is........
........
........
........
........
DIANE! Thanks to everybody who commented, it was really nice to see who read my blog!
Diane, sweetie - I do have your snail-mail address, but somehow I have lost your last name! LOL! So would you please give me that and I will get the kitty-cat out as soon as possible! And some nice papers as well!
The deco above is of the theme "Poetry", so I chose a lovely poem from Katherine Mansfield, printed it on my computer, then tore it out so the edges would be rough, inked the edges with different kinds of brown and sprayed on some shimmer-mist. The paper with text under the poem is from a decoupage-paper I bought a while ago. I'm pretty happy with the result!

Yuhooooo!!!!! Blog-candy!

My blog has got over 5000 visitors! That is something I will have to celebrate with some blog-candy! If you leave a comment on THIS post - Sunday night 23,59 at the latest, then you can win this cat-stamp (see above). I have got 2, so the one I will give away is unused. It's from HeroArt and it's mounted on wood. I will also toss in some nice papers... Go ahead and take a chance!

Yet another card!

Yes, another card! I'm in a flow right now, LOL! Can you tell that I like this colour-combo? it's my favourite one right now...

This one I made for a friend who turned 40 in July. We were invited to her birthday-party last Saturday. The stamp is from Reprint (I think) and the design is made by my dear friend Maria (pointing over to my friends blogs), isn't it lovely!? I coloured it with ProMarkers. The tags I punched out using my QK Squeeze, and on one of the tags I put "40" and on the other I put "år", which means "years". At first I intended to put Sophie there, but the tags were too small... The paper... oh my gosh, I can't remember where that is from! Sorry!

Penny Black-card

Today my head feels like it's a little too big and I just want to go to bed (will do that in a minute), but first I wanted to show you a birthday-card I made the other week. I am participating in a birthday-swap in a Swedish forum, and this card I made for a lady who's birthday is in August, and sent it together with a little present. The photo is not too good I'm afraid, I have to practice that... But you get the idea! The stamp I used is from Penny Black, it's so cute!

Engagement-card

A friend of mine told me she got engaged without anybody knowing about it! I wish her all the best, she really deserves to be happy! I made her this card, I kind of like the vibrant colours, it's not as "sweet" as these kinds of cards tend to be! What do YOU think?

Rainy

Now evenings are getting darker again. By 9 PM I have to switch the light on - that has not been necessary for the past couple of months! And right now it feels as if autumn is knocking on the door again, because it has been rainy the past few days, and therefore not that warm...

Above is a Vintage Wedding ATC that I made for my group "LovelyDecos". It's pretty simple, but I think it turned out OK...

Summer!

This past week it has really been SUMMER! It's been really hot (around 30 degrees C, which is nearly 100 F) and sunny. I was hoping for some thunder-storms - yes I LOVE thunder-storms - but nope... Not here. Today it's slightly cooler - around 28 degrees C...
Mats had a small accident with his foot the other night. he was jumping off a stone-wall and came down badly. His foot hurt very much, but somehow he managed to drive home anyway... Today I forced him to see a doctor, because the foot was very swollen and it hurt very much. He had the foot X-rayed as well, but luckily it was not broken. Now he's got crutches to get moving and I also put his foot in a bandage. He's quite grumpy but very cute! LOL!
The deco above is a "Summer" deco that I made for my own group LovelyDecos. I like that stamp very much, thanks Maria for letting me borrow it!

Picasso

Now I'm back from vacation! As usual we had a car-vacation and this year we headed to France. We focused mainly on Normandy and visited lots of war-museums and cemeteries from the WW2. Kind of depressing, but very good to see! At the end of the trip we went to Paris for 3 days, which was as nice as always!

So, now that I'm home again I have a little difficulty in getting back into crafting - strange, I would have thought the opposite! It might have to do with the heat though - today we have had a temperature of 32 degrees Celsius! That is way too hot for me! But I did manage to craft a little - like this Picasso-deco that I made for my Swedish yahoo-group SvenskaDecos. It turned out pretty nice, I'm happy with it!

Visitors

After a few intense weeks with visitors from Germany (Hi Katha!) and Norway (Hi Marthe!) I'm back to normal again. Well, not THAT normal, since my son Gustav is having summer-break and is home all days. Well, mostly he's out playing with his friends, thank goodness! But it's still a lot to do - fixing food, washing clothes etc - more than when he's not here!
When Marthe from Norway was here we had really fun making lots and lots of decos and ATCs! For example, I made the deco above - it's a "My favourite rubberstamp" deco that I made for my Swedish yahoo-group SvenskaDecos. I'm very pleased with how it came out! Marthe, I can't wait to come and visit you and have another deco-making marathon! I just need to save up for the air-fare and all that shopping...

Get well card

This card I made today for a friend that doesn't feel too well. I hope this will cheer her up a little. As usual it looks better IRL, the ribbon is with a fringe and it looks adorable IRL, here it just looks weird, LOL! The text below says "Get well soon, my friend" in Swedish.

About the wedding-card in my last post - believe it ór not; I forgot it at home on the desk!! So I have snail-mailed it today instead. LOL! That is sooooo me!

Wedding-card

Tomorrow we will be attending a wedding - Mats' friend Torbjörn will be marrying his Sophie. I made this card for them. It's more green IRL, and frankly it also looks better IRL! I hope they will like it! The round stamp says "kärlek" which means "love", and the text over and below means "Faith Hope" and "For Ever". I borrowed both the stamps when I was at that craft-meeting in Stockholm a month ago. They came in handy now!

I'm back!

Sorry for being absent lately! I've been working on my thesis for the university, and yesterday I got it approved, finally! it's been sooo much hard work, so i'm really relieved that it's over and done with!

Well, I haven't been able to do much crafting, and the decos I have made, I forgot to scan before I sent them, so I show you a deco I made some months ago. The theme was "your childhood idols/Superstars", and I just had to pick ABBA! I simply adored them as a child, wanted to dress like they did and all that. I knew (and still know) their songs by heart, but before I had learnt English the lyrics were a bit funny... LOL!

Gustav 9 years old!

My little baby boy Gustav will turn 9 years old on Sunday!! I can't believe how fast time flies! Well, i made him this card, and the stamp I chose because he just LOVES cats... So I think he will like this one.
I bought him some presents - nothing too expensive, because I just have no money right now... But one thing I bought is an alarm-clock in the shape of a motorcycle, and for an alarmclock it's pretty big. The clock itself is situated at the back-wheel and when the alarm goes off it sounds just like a motorbike starting... I think he will just love it! I can't wait to see his face when he receives it!

Grandpa!

This is a Scrap Layout I made when I visited a scrap-meeting with some friends a while ago. The photos are of my grandpa - the small one is when he was in his thirties - a handsome man, don't you think? And the bigger one is taken about 15 years ago, I think. He is still with us, even though he is 97 years old! His body is giving up on him, though... I'm thankful for everyday I can talk to him!

Butterfly deco

I have to admit that I am soooo satisfied with this deco! It is an artistic Butterfly-deco that I made for my group QualitySwappers.
Speaking of butterflies, I have seen so many these past few days! Yesterday we went biking in the beautiful spring-weather - Gustav, Mats and I. We went about 11 kilometers, so our legs were really tired afterwards. During that bicycle-tour we saw quite a few butterflies, all of them yellow. In Sweden they are called "Lemon butterflies", because of their colour. It's really spring when you can see all those butterflies, I think!

Bad scanner...

I intended to upload a new deco here, but my scanner said he wasn't up for it tonight... Hm... I hope it's just a minor problem!

Anyway, you have to settle with this older deco, that I made for my Swedish deco-group a couple of weeks ago. It's a "Penny Black" deco, but instead of making it very cute with a lot of flowers, I wanted to go with a cooler look, and this is what I came up with. It turned out pretty good, don't you think?!

Spring, finally!

Spring has finally arrived! Today it's supposed to be sunny and pretty warm, so I'm happy. I hope you also will have good weather around the globe!
This thing above is a springy bookmark that I created on the craft-meeting I attended last weekend. I had so much fun, can't wait to do it again!

Winter again!

We have winter again, here in Sweden! All winter months have passed, and we didn't get much snow - the kids couldn't go skiing or bob-sleighing, so the winter sucked for them! And now, when we want spring and Easter has passed, we get snow... And cold! The temperature is close to zero or below (in Celsius - in Farenheit it's below 30). We don't like this at all...

Well, I made a couple of Rubberstamped Flower decos for a swap in my own Swedish group. This is a rubberstamp from Penny Black that I borrowed from a friend (thanks so much Mia, it's lovely!). I hope you like it - I do!

Tagged!

I got tagged by CreaMaria, so here's a few questions I need to answer:

1) Are you a cardmaker or a scrapper? I do make some cards and I've scrapped about 3 LO's. But mostly I make decos and recently some ATC's!

2) Favourite colour you like to use? No - I like almost every colour. It depends on the card/LO/deco/ATC - what theme there is and what picture I'm going to use...

3) What decorations can't you live without? Prima flowers! I use them everywhere, and bundles of them!

4) What is you best buy? My wonderful Fiskars Papercutter! I don't understand how I could manage without it!

5) Anything you regret that you bought? Hmmm... I have to think... Not that I can think of right now - must have supressed it! LOL!

6) What kind of motifs do you like to scrap/stamp if you get to choose? Well, if I get to stamp I like things that are cute, like Penny Black, but not too cute like the Swedish "hÄnglar" stamps... And about decos, I like artistic ones, where you get to use your creativity and imagination!

7) Is there any craft-paper you like to buy? I have bought a couple of issues of the Swedish Scrapbooking m.m, but since I'm not that into scrapping, it's not what I'm looking for. I'm thinking of buying a subscription of some American craft-paper... Or the British "Cards".

8) Favourite craft-blog? Wow, there are soooo many! Check the bloglist on the side!

9) What/who inspires you? Other blogs, other peoples work, decos, craft-papers...

10) If you got a 1000 SEK (1oo EUR, 143 $, 70 £) to buy craft supplies, what would you buy? Eeehhh... probably a QK Revolution or something like that...

Now I want to tag Annelie (Cat Anne), Samrana (My Arty Budoir) and Mette (Jag och mitt liv)!

Flower decosquare

This is a "flower decosquare" that I made for a swap a wile ago. I had this beautiful rose that I stamped on watercolour-paper and then watercoloured. I can't remember what brand the stamp is - does anybody know?

Easter card

Today it's been a lovely weather here - sunny and nice! I've made the terrace nice - wiped off the table, put on a cloth, put cushions on the sofa and the chairs and also a rag rug on the floor. It looks so nice, i hope the weather will be good tomorrow as well, so i can sit there and write letters!

Today I've also made an Easter card!

Birthday-card and lumbago

Tomorrow my aunt will turn 60, so I made this card to her and will send it today. Isn't she cute, the Bella-stamp?! The tag at the side says "Helena 60 år" and I tied a nice white ribbon at the back of the card.

Yesterday I hurt my back. I was sitting on a bench at the sports-center, watching Gustav play land-hockey for an hour. When I got up the back just "snapped" - aouch! It hurts! My stepdad (who is a chiropractor) told me it's lumbago... So I'd better keep still as much as possible. *sigh*

Some new decos!

Here are some of the decos I've made recently. I've also made some ATC's and inchies, but I forgot to scan them, sorry!!

Craft-room!

This is where I do my crafting! It's not quite ready yet - another shelf is coming up above these 2 that already are there. And some other wall-paper as well, but that will take some time.

4x4" decosquare

I'm a member in a Decosquare group at Yahoo. The idea is similar to ATC's, but you get to decorate on a bigger space - 4x4 inces. I find that easier to decorate than regular ATC's. This is a "Trees in Winter" square. I've stamped and embossed it with white glittery powder. It doesn't show well from the scan, but I'm pretty happy with it!

Cutting down

This is a "Celtic" deco that I made for one of the groups I'm member in. The colours are a little clearer in reality - it's reddish and a little green... I'm pretty happy with it!

Right now I'm a little stressed out by all the swaps I've fisned up for. I've taken upon far too much - it's so hard to resist when there are such great themes and i'm in too many groups... I will reduce the groups I'm in a little and also reduce the amount of swaps I sign up for. Now I feel lack of both inspiration and imagination because it feels too much of a duty. So I really need to do this!

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everybody out there! I wish you the best for this new one!

This deco is a "Choose the theme for the next signer"-deco! I thought it was a fun idea, and I'm quite pleased with the deco itself. It's very symmetric (yeah, I'm big on symmetry, can you tell?) but still a little different with the ribbon and the bow across...

The new year I celebrated at Mats' place. Not that we did anything in particular though - he cooked a delicious meal, we had some wine and watched TV. But that's the kind of New Year's Eve I like! I know I might be a bore, but I'm proud of it! LOL!

When I got home after 2 days, Felix (the youngest cat, 7 months old) was soooooo pissed! I didn't talk to me the whole evening, but then at night he couldn't be close enough... It was like I had been gone for 2 weeks or months, not 2 days! (The neighbours gave the cats food, so they didn't have to starve, and they have their own entrance as well)
